  • The narrow path makes it easy to plug or foul.
  • The thickness of the wall makes the selection of the construction material very critical.
  • Specialized opening and closing procedures are essential for the gasketed units.

Air-cooled heat exchangers

Advantages

  • It is a better and attractive option for areas with less capability of heating cold water due to cost.
  • The operating cost and maintenance is low
  • It is ideal for cooling streams of high pressure.

Disadvantages

  • The initial purchase cost is a bit higher.
  • The footprint it requires should be relatively large.
  • The process of temperature outlet is high.
